Comment moderation

Since this blog is relatively new, I haven't turned on comment moderation yet. I am hoping that I never need to. If there are any other bloggers reading this, would you mind letting me know if you find this tool useful or tedious. :-)

Hey there! I landed here as a result of the controversy at Elena's blog. I followed a link from one of your comments. Nice to "meet" you!

As to comment moderation, I find it useful because once in a while you might get a rude comment. I don't mind differing opinions, but lack of respect, i.e. foul language, warrants an immediate comment rejection. That's just me though...

I'm with Chrissy on the comment moderation. In fact, Chrissy sort of led me to your blog through Erika's I saw your comment there about finding good Catholic Mom blogs. Defintitely Chrissy's and (shameless plug) you could visit mine, though I sometimes don't update too often!

God Bless!

P.S. I used to read Candy's blog all the time and finally had to stop after I kept getting ripped apart. I'm glad others were "fighting the good fight" even though it seems pointless at times. I'm trying to find your comment explaining no meat on Friday. Do you have an exact link?

Hi chrissy and courtney! I am so excited! You guys are my first official comments! Thank you!! :-) I am going to visit your blogs ASAP. Do either one of you know how to set up a blogroll? I could add you both if I knew how.

Courtney, my comment was under the "this and that and Q & A" post that Candy made last week. I had such a hard time keeping quiet during her anti-Catholic blogfest. (My daughter is making her first Communion next month, so this is a special time for us.) There was someone named Eve (I think) who left a MUCH better comment than me. Her comment is a few down from mine in the same section. Mine was loaded with typos and grammatical errors because I was in a hurry and very irritated. :-)

Thanks again. I'll be visiting you guys soon! :-)

I don't have a Blogger blog, but I can tell ya that I have comment moderation on my Wordpress blog. For me, it's useful ... it reduces the amount of spam comments that I get daily ... and it also helps with family who comment and accidently use our daughter's real name (that way I can edit it and replace it with Pookie) ... and it helps with any comments that are lacking respect, as Chrissy said (though thankfully I think I've only had like 2 of those!).

Hi Brandy!! Thanks for stopping by! I haven't had one of those unkind comments yet, but I am sure that they are coming. I think I'm going to go ahead and turn it on.

Hi KitKat! I found your comment and I think you did a fine job. :) I'm staying away from that place now, though. Congratulations on you daughter's First Communion! How exciting...God Bless!
